Marta Kowalski started her journey at Wilfrid Laurier University studying Kinesiology and Physical Education. There, she developed a passion for understanding the human body and became a Certified Personal Trainer through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP). Through her work with a variety of clients, she became motivated to learn more in order to heal as well as strengthen, which has continued with her career as an RMT. Her past athletic experience led to a low back injury and three separate knee injuries, one leading to surgery. Having undergone the injury recovery personally, she understands the frustrations and joys of both small and large improvements.
Marta believes each individual can help heal themselves, and enjoys empowering her clients to do home-care to better understand how their body works and take control of the healing process. She works with you to develop the most effective treatment plan, utilizing a variety of techniques in the massage treatments. Her experience ranges from relaxation massages, to breaking up adhesions and fascial restrictions, and decreasing hypertonicity of muscles. She has worked with a wide range of clientele, with a variety of injuries and chronic pain conditions, and looks forward to continuing to grow within her career.
